This is the blog for our little farm in Skagit county. Here we have Shetland sheep and Nigerian Dwarf goats. In addition we have donkeys, cattle, pigs, chickens, geese, and peafowl. The blog describes the weekly activities here.
Oh! I have a cousin who lives in Bellingham! How far is that from where you live?
I’ve only been to her home once. It’s a lovely area. I grew up with her and her older sister, who is my age. We all lived on property on the bank of the Snake River near Ontario, OR.
It was nice for us as kids. We would walk barefoot in the hot dust on the road between our homes. Sometimes we got to ride on the running board of my uncle’s pickup on that dusty road, but never on a real road. We did ride in the back of his pickup on the two lane Highway 30, just the trip into Ontario, OR.
We would play on the river bank, a lot. Or sit in the house and my cousin who is the same age as me, would draw pictures. She was/is quite gifted, artistically.
That must have been fun for all of you! And what a beautiful setting! I have no idea where Fairhaven is, though.
It was fun. Fairhaven is the southwest portion of Bellingham.

Bellingham is about 1/2 hour north of us. Living on the Snake River sounds nice.

That sounds like a perfect childhood.
