Sunny Projects and Gumbo

Today was an initially cool but sunny day.  We did the usual chores.  I also used a caulking gun to put Bird Be Gone on boards in the barn that the starlings like to roost on. I am hoping we can reduce the starling poop in the barn.  In the afternoon I started a bunch of seeds, and Tom worked on our new garden shed.  He took a break and petted Steve.

I also went to the store and picked up file and andouille sausage.

This is so I could make Chicken and Sausage Gumbo for dinner.  Here is the colorful roux.

Here is my wonderful and spicy dinner.  It was lovely.

Hi Donna! I hope your day is going well. I’ve never heard of Bird Be Gone. I hope it works for you.
Was the Gumbo spicy? Looking at the sausages, I would guess they are spicy!
    Take care!

Hi Jeanne! My day is going well. I hope yours is too. The Bird Be Gone did absolutely nothing. The starlings didn’t mind it one bit. The Gumbo was only mildly spicy. So it was quite nice.
