We had a happy one.
On Friday I tried to get things ready. I washed the plastic eggs from previous years.
I moved them to the dining room window to dry.
I dyed some hard boiled eggs.
I rinsed the eggs and let them dry as well.
On Friday I also made hot cross bun dough and cleaned the house.
I worked yesterday and got off this morning. Tom had started baking one of our hams and a lasagne, and I got started baking. I made Savoury Bacon, Cheese & Egg Hot Cross Buns. I also made Asparagus Tart. Here they are on the table. We quickly went out and put the eggs in the orchard.
I steamed some more asparagus as well. Here’s my plate. I took too much food. I put a fried egg, as suggested, in the bun. It was all really good.
Then we went out Easter egg hunting. Piper in particular was really excited.
They took their loot to the back porch to check out.
But then I realized that 6 hard-boiled Easter eggs were missing. So we went back out to the orchard to look some more. Piper was able to find one more plastic egg and 2 chicken eggs. Now we don’t know if they are still in the orchard for Tom to find with the weed whacker some summer day or if the dogs may have carried them off.
Here’s Piper’s loot,
And here’s William’s. Diana, Thomas’ girlfriend, got some as well that she plans on sharing with her mother.
Then the kids wanted to go riding. Here’s Thomas and Diana on a quad out back.
This is Thomas. Diana was riding a quad on her own at this point.
This is Russ and Piper.
Piper got a little muddy.
Here’s the gang with the assortment of rides.
This is William on his quad.
It started to rain again and so it was time to rinse the quads off and call it a day.
It was a very nice Easter. But I am tired. The kids and dogs seem tired too. Possibly others as well.

happy Easter to you all! 🙂
Thanks Denise! I hope you had a nice one as well.
I think you all had a great day! It looked fantastic! The videos were really nice. Piper was really going after those eggs. We didn’t have rain that day.
Your plate of food looked delicious!
We had a great day. The weather could have been nicer though. Piper was very enthusiastic. The food was delicious. I hope you had a nice Easter.

Karen
It was a great time. It try be a good hostess. I hope you had a nice Easter as well.
I could probably leave a comment on each photo…but you don’t need that. I want to say your dyed eggs are beautiful. I have a Hoosier cabinet that is in the exact same shape as your the paint removed and wasn’t that a booger and still left unpainted because I was going to refinish it and didn’t want to fuss with taking the rest of the paint off.
Your family is well loved and happy for it.
Just how familys should be. Happiness and love.
You know the song… Love is all you need…… maybe The Beatles! It truly is all you need to be happy. I love that about all your posts. Happiness and Love!
Wow Beth, what amazing comments!!! I am so glad that you enjoyed the post and its photos. It is a Beatles song and now rolling around in my brain. And that is a good thing. Plus knowing my love and happiness comes through in my posts. Nothing better.
