A Farm and An Airshow

On the farm, nothing too exciting is happening.  I caught this interaction between a turkey and a chicken that I have never seen before.  Not exactly sure what was going on.

Tom cleared a lot of fallen trees and branches off the front fence line to prevent any further eye injures.  This is not the field that the bull was in, but the one he was being moved to.

His left eye seems a little worse but doesn’t look infected.  We will get the vet to look at it again next week to see what he thinks.

But he is still showing interest in the cows.  In this case he is intrigued by Sonja.

Today we went to the Skagit Skies Airshow with my Mom and Al. It reminded me of my childhood going to airshows with my grampa.  Here are some of the planes on display.

This is Melissa Burns flying circles above a member of the US Army Golden Knights Parachute Team.

This is the Undaunted formation airshow.

This is a race between the Smoke and Thunder Jet Car and one of the Undaunted team.  The jet car won.

This is a demonstration of the NAS Whidbey Island Search & Rescue.

This is a demonstration by planes of the local Heritage Flight Museum.  I have long meant to visit this museum and still need to.

This is a F8F Bearcat out of the Erickson Aircraft Collection.

This is a P51 Mustang “Val-Halla” out of the Heritage Flight Museum.

This is a US Coast Guard Rescue demo out of Port Angeles.

This is the Bearcat flying.

This is the Mustang flying.

This is the Bearcat and Mustang together.

This is the Smoke & Thunder Jet Car.

And it raced the Bearcat and won.

This is Undaunted performing again.

This is Melissa Burns performing acrobatic stunts.

Then the US Navy Growler Team performed.

It was a really nice and well attended show.  I need to give special thanks to Debbie Hamilton of the Port of Skagit for helping me navigate disabled access for this event.

Very interesting! The turkey and chicken must have had an important conversation going there! It was interesting.

I hope the bull will have complete healing to his eye.

I thought it was interesting. I wish I knew what they were saying. The vet will be out tomorrow afternoon. So we will know then how it’s healing.
