Birthdays and Football

Yesterday was Piper’s sixth birthday.  It was held at an indoor trampoline park in Bellingham.  Here is her very cute cake.

Here is Piper and a couple of her friends checking out her cake.

Here she is opening one of her presents (from us).

And opening another present.  It was great fun, and it seemed like everyone had a great time.

Actually, before Piper’s birthday, William had his first football game.  Due to animal chores, we were a little late and missed the first quarter when he played safety.  Here he is after we arrived hanging out on the sideline with one of the coaches.

Here he is in the game, the second player from the right.  Blaine lost to Lynden Christian, but it was a really fun game to watch.  Looking forward to more.

We went out to lunch with the family after the game but then had time to kill before the birthday party.  So we happened upon a vintage travel trailer rally.  We walked around and checked out the trailers.  This one had a cool catio.  There was another that had a doggie door out back connected to a run.

This was the redone interior of a 1959 Boles Aero trailer.  I liked the conformation.

This was a Carmen Ghia pulling a Rainier trailer that was originally built in Everett.

This was a cute little trailer inside.

And there were quite a few stickers in the back.

Today we headed to a “end of summer” gathering with Tom’s family which happened also to be his brother’s birthday.  Here is Tom petting Buster.  This cat originally belonged to Tom’s deceased brother but now lives with his sister’s family.

It has been smoky recently which has really been affecting my lungs.  Here is a spooky smokey moon.  Thankfully today there was  little rainy and breeze, and things seem better.

Recently, Fidalgo, the alpaca, has been freaking me out by surprising me looking in the barn.

Here is a close up which is not as frightening.

We watched the Husky’s winning game yesterday.  Today we listened to the Seahawks’ loss on the radio during the get together.  So we were involved with three football games this weekend.

P.S. I finished listening to the first 10 seasons of Mossback’s Northwest.  It is a fun TV show about local history.  I have learned quite a bit.  Looking forward to the new season.

  1. Your grandkids are growing up fast! I know you’ll have a ball watching William play football.

I.enjoyed going through your post! Your grandkids are so cute! It’s hard to believe that William is playing football already. Piper had a very nice birthday party.

It’s great that you can spend time together with your family.
