“On December 3, 2007, unprecedented rains and flooding caused extensive damage to
many farms, businesses and residences in Lewis County, Washington. One of the hardest
hit is the Black Sheep Creamery, a family run, small farm who makes sheep cheese. They
lost 80% of their ewes, all of their rams, all winter feed and hay, sustained extensive
damage to the house, barn, fences, pastures, cheese storage and equipment. The road to
recovery is long and hard and expensive. They are keeping a log through the “Musings”
blog at their website.
We fellow shepherds and small farmers are helping through this online, no frills, silent
auction. All items are donated, 100% of the proceeds go to the Gregorys for rebuilding
their farm, their flock and their business. There are no fees, operating expenses or
percentages. We take checks, money orders and cash (but no cash through the mail!).
Paypal is available on request.”
