So, thanks to Destructo-Dog, we have no cat-free zone (AKA back porch) outside for the cats. So the usually outdoor cats have moved into the house. So now we have two dogs (including rehab doggie) and three cats living in our small house. Tom gets one chair. And I get none!
INJURIES/ILLNESS UPDATES:
Vanessa had a little set back one week ago, presumably from trying to rough house with Mopar, but she’s recovered. She had her 6 week vet check that said she was doing well but to expect to curtail her activity (i.e., stay inside) for one year! When she first injured herself it was 4 months. So we are going to have a large, brown, happy-as-a-clam dog in our home for a year.
The Neurontin is helping my leg pain and numbness a lot. I do get tired from it though but still am thrilled. I have my steroid injection scheduled for January 1st. Now I am sick with a nasty virus so need to boot some cats off the couch and cough a lot.
Everyone looks warm and cozy, at least. Hoping you can get some rest and recover from the viral crud. I have had it fro 3 1/2 weeks and am on day 8 of meds, still not sure it’s working. Take it easy and cuddle with your babies, and have a Happy New Year, too:)
Thanks Krista. I will cuddle with lots of dogs and cats in front of bowl games and try to have a happy new year. Happy New year to you too!
So glad the drugs are helping!
Thanks Michelle. I am really glad. Before this creeping crud, I was able to be more active and off the couch. Now I am back on it, but hopefully briefly.
So glad to hear you are getting some relief from the Neurontin. If our cold-ish house is cold it’s really nice to have a toasty dog or cat on the couch! Like a furry hot water bottle 🙂
It is so nice that the Neurontin is helping. I have had to stop for a couple of days because of interactions with the cold medications I am taking so I can really appreciate how much it WAS helping. Hopefully I can restart it soon! Our toasty dogs and cats don’t give me room and then they push me away as hard as they can. They like their space.
