Yesterday we bottled some of the wine I have been making.  We checked specific gravities, and three of the carboys were ready and three are not.  Above is the black plum wine.  I was finally able to get it to dry, and it is tasty.  Below is the blackberry wine, and it is REALLY good.

We also got a new beagle yesterday.  We were thinking about providing a home for a needy beagle for the holidays, and this one came from the Alternative Humane Society of Whatcom County.  Her name is Sunny, she is 7 years old and has some emotional issues.  Here she is in our house for the first time.

She was freaked out at first but seems to be settling in.  Hopefully she will feel happy and safe here.
