Air Show

planes over trees

When the weather is nice here over Jarman Prairie, we get vintage airplanes practicing.  Often it is a biplane that is performing loops, rolls and dives.  Today though we had two vintage single-winged planes doing circles in side by side formation.  Unfortunately I did not learn enough going to air shows with my grandfather as a kid to be able to identify them.  And when they were right overhead I did not have my camera.  These photos are using my barn camera as I did not have time to get my nicer one.

But it was a sight to behold watching them gracefully fly circles overhead.  It made me forget about the stomach flu I am battling.  So here’s to unexpected diversions on a nice spring day.
