Hmm; the ears don’t look round enough, and compared to the fence posts, it doesn’t look big enough.
I thought it did not look big enough, but the color and tail are not right for a coyote. And the ears and tail are not right for Steve. So I am not sure.
It’s definitely not Steve. I’m not sure just what it is, though. Maybe you’ll get another view or two. Can you aim your camera a little differently?
I haven’t, but it has not been back in 10 days. Thanks for confirming it is not Steve.
I just showed the pictures to my Hunny. He wondered if it could be a large house cat. I sort of wondered that too. Right shape of ears…
That’s what I thought when I saw the photos, too. Clearly cat, but not nearly big enough or the correct ear shape for a cougar.
Well Fish and Wildlife yesterday afternoon killed a 2-3 year old cougar that had killed three of my neighbors sheep the night before and they are still hunting for another one. So I am thinking it is a cougar.
Oh dear!! But a 2-3 year old cougar would be full grown, wouldn’t it? Keep us updated on this mystery! Please?
