We got almost 2.5 inches of rain while we were gone. Pretty impressive!
Today was nice and sunny though. I was admiring the color of Maddie (on the lower left) with the leaves on the trees.
Today I made some felted rugs. The basic technique is to put a fleece cut side up with two layers of batting at 90 degree angles. You cover this with a shower curtain, and you rub it with lots of hot water and Dawn soap.
It is a lot of work. But I got three done (I think this is a record for me). Here is Vanessa’s,

Now they are drying. They will likely need more work, fixing holes and needle felting locks. But happy to have this much done. I am officially wore out so plan on relaxing in front of the World Series the rest of the evening.

Your felted rugs look very good! I’m sure they are a lot of work. How do you clean them? Can you vacuum them?
I wish I could come up for the sale and see your things! That would be so much fun! Can you explain the name Hoogdal?

It is a lot of rain for us. I thought Maddie looked pretty. Fair warning to you though, she is not long for this world, I’m afraid.
The rugs are a lot of work. You can’t vacuum them. I just shake them out so far.
I wish you could come up too. Hoogdal was once a town near us. It was settled by Swedes and named after their hometown in Sweden Ytterhogdal, but they shortened it and added an o.
I looked Hoogdal up. It’s very interesting and has some beautiful homes. It would be fun to visit!
