Now it has been 25 years that I have been owned by sheep. I thought I would republish my 20th anniversary post from 5 years ago. I still miss all of these original sheep, but some of their genetics lives on in the current flock.
“I first started being owned by sheep twenty years ago today. I went to Mystic Knoll to buy Ebony, a Shetland black ewe. Then Sadie hopped into my lap so I got both of them.

Loki, the ram, did not come until the next year. He came from Mountain Niche and produced all the original ewes’ lambs.

I bought Reuben at the same time as a ram companion.

I bought Babette around the same time. I had gone to Badger Hollow for another reason and fell in love with Babette instead. She was the best animal decision I ever made.

So now it has been twenty years sharing my lives with sheep and I still love it.”
Happy Silver Anniversary!
Thanks!
I really enjoy looking at all the old pictures! You’ve really had some beautiful sheep! I’ve already lost track of how many times I’ve gone through these great pictures! It just too much fun!
So happy you enjoyed it. I enjoyed looking at them again as well.
