Game Camera

We clearly caught a coyote on our Arlo camera in back of our pastures on Monday night.  Fortunately, it was heading away from our animals.  Tom had heard coyotes yipping that night as well.

Tuesday evening there is an unusual animal at the beginning of the video.  We are not sure what it is.  Tom was wondering if it was a bobcat.  Do let me know what you think it might be.

We still haven’t had any more losses that I am aware of so that is good.  But we do have trips planned this summer, and I hate to lock the animals in the barn when we are away.  But that is probably what we are going to need to do.

In other news, we had Mexican-Style Pot Roast With Raisins And Almonds and air fryer frozen green beans for dinner last night.  It was really good, especially with the mildly spicy sauce, and a farm meal to boot.

hmmm. I’ve slowed the video down and tried to look at it frame by frame, and I am pretty sure I see a long tail. I’m thinking cougar

The color isn’t right for either bobcat or cougar. It does seem to have a long tail, unless that’s a hind leg…. I’ve looked at it several times. It’s a problem.

I saw rings on the tail. It looks like the raccoons we have here. They can be out during the daytime cause kids stay with moms for 2 years. Being out in daytime is normal.
