The pigs seem to be enjoying their new home. They already have a giant mud hole.
I did the animal and garden chores while Tom worked on building a roof for the trailer that had a tree fall a while ago, and its roof is slowly deteriorating.
This afternoon I picked our golden egg plums and our peaches. We had pruned them quite a lot on pruning day so I wasn’t expecting much. But both trees made more than I expected and bigger fruit than usual.
Interestingly we heard the song Peaches “Movin’ to the country, Gonna eat a lot of peaches” just yesterday. And now we are going to be eating a lot of peaches.
Then I picked the last of the blueberries. We had a banner year for blueberries.
For dinner we had carnitas, and I made a fruit salad on the side. It was all really great.

The carnival sound delicious! I looked at the recipe we can’t use citrus, because my # 1 daughter is allergic to all of It.
Can you tell which pig is which?
They were delicious. That is sad that you can’t use citrus. I can tell the pigs apart, mostly by their genders, sizes and tail curls. They are starting to show more personality differences as well.
P.S. I should have read my comment. I was doing that on my Kindle tablet, and it does love to spell words whatever way it wants to do! I had meant to say that the carnitas sound really tasty, but that silly tablet put in carnival instead! I didn’t know it until much later.
I hate it when devices change the works from what you intended.
those plums look so yummy 🙂 we ad a really good year for blueberries as well. I think that the rain in late July really helped.
The plums are yummy but trying to figure out what to do with them. I think you are correct about the rain helping.
