Snow and Roscoe

On Sunday it started snowing here.  When Tom went out to close the barn in the evening, Roscoe ran up to Tom in the backyard, meowing and apparently wanted in the house.  So Tom brought him in, and I watched him while Tom finished going to the barn.  Here he is in the house for the first time.

On Monday morning, I took him to the vet.  They confirmed that he is a neutered male cat.  He does have a microchip, but the phone number on it doesn’t work.  I tried to google the person and found a couple of facebook people with the same name, one living in Bellingham and one living in Mount Vernon.  I messaged both of them with no response.  So I guess we have a new cat.  He is hanging out in our bedroom in the daytime and in the rest of the house at night to keep him away for our really grumpy Wally cat.

He watched a Kraken hockey game with me last evening.

Today he was looking out the windows the snow.

Wally was too but at a different window.

We had only an inch of snow before, but this evening it really picked up again.

In other news, I finished the papers and audio tapes regarding my Uncle Jim.  This is a letter he sent as he was going to be sent out of Vietnam and what foods and drinks he wanted.  I thought it was quite a list.

I purchased a felted sheep named Lambie.  It is from the Shetland Island and based on a sheep that is living there.

One of the young peacocks is starting to strut his stuff.  Unfortunately he doesn’t have much stuff yet.

Lastly, Al had to have another surgery but is now finally improving.  This has been such a huge worry.  Now it will be the recovery process.

Very nice post! I was a little surprised that Roscoe wanted to be in the house. Not that I can blame him, though, with the not-so-nice weather. He really is beautiful! He must have been a house cat in a past life. I hope the two cats can get along.

He must have been a house cat in the past. He uses the kitty litter box perfectly. He is gorgeous. I hope they can get along too. Wally’s world is now turned upside down.

So glad that Roscoe decided to come in from the cold! Hopefully with time Wally will come around and be friendly with him.

I am happy to finally have Roscoe warm and safe. And it’s good to know that his gender matches his name. I really hope Wally settles down. Last night sleep was disrupted by the conflicts.
