Our magnolia is starting to bloom,
and the Forsythia is going to town.
But the big news is that yesterday I picked up a new sheep as a birthday present. It’s Priscilla, named after the movie Priscilla, Queen of the Desert by Tina, the Shepherd’s wife. It is her favorite of their sheep but unfortunately due to health issues, Tina doesn’t really get to see her much anymore. So she kindly agreed to have her come live with us. And I really wanted a white crimpy Shetland sheep. I miss having white in my wool repertoire. But I also think she is drop dead gorgeous. Here she is on our pasture for the first time.
I feel bad for her as she has always lived on her original farm. Here she is meeting one of our Shetland sheep and our alpaca.
She initially ran away.
But then Diddley walked up to her, trying to make friends.
The sheep and alpaca then went into the barn, hiding from her. Here she is not sure what to do. I didn’t want to get too close and spook her more.
But at sunset she went into the barn with everyone. Unfortunately today I had appointments and meetings. But Tom reports that she is doing well, and Diddley remains her friend. I think she will do well here.

Yay! So you were about to get your white sheep after all! Happy birthday!
And of course Diddley is the first to welcome her. He’s such a sweetie 🙂
He is trying to be a friend to her.
Thank you. I was going to text you but decided to do the blog post instead.
I hope she will settle in, and gradually realize that the other sheep are just like her.
She looks like her fleece is beautiful. I’m sure you will enjoy having her.
I think she will. I am looking forward to her wool. And just having her in our pasture.
