Recipe Music

I still had watermelon juice left from my July 4 melon.  So I used this recipe Barbie Girl Cocktail  to make a yummy cocktail today.  Listening to the song I haven’t heard since the 1990s was interesting. Not really my style though.

For dinner I made Yakamein.  I thought this was a lyric in the Iko Iko song.  But it turns out the lyrics are Jackomo fe no nan e’,  So completely unrelated.  But the Yakamein was really good nonetheless.

In farm news, I was a solo farmer as Tom was helping my father rebuild his cabin.  There was a nearly full moon to admire while putting the animals away at night.

I am letting more of the growing chicks out of the weasel proof pen into the barn.  These are the white “chicks” that I moved out yesterday.

The rented bull’s eye seems better.  The eyelids are still sutured shut but no more tearing, and it doesn’t seem uncomfortable.

Tom had taken the dogs with him so it was just me and the two cats in the house.  They are still fighting but not as bad.  This is Roscoe hanging by my computer.

Any idea what the vet thinks about when the bull’s eye will be healed enough to remove the stitches? I really hope he will till have vision in that eye.
