Hot Sheep

Hot Sheep
Today it’s currently 84 degrees here and rising. The sheep and goats are quite warm and are hiding in the shade. This morning before it became too warm I weeded the garden, planted broccoli and cauliflower, and watered it. I then rotated the animals to new pastures, filled all the water tanks, and tried to make sure every critter has access to shade. Other than that, I’m taking it kind of easy today. This evening we’re going to look (and hopefully buy) a manure spreader on Camano Island. Our manure quantities are now more than we can use on the garden, so hopefully soon we’ll be able to spread it on the pastures.
