So I skirted eleven more fleeces today- only two more to go! There was only one today which took my breath away (which means I really want to keep it but am making myself sell it). It is Miss Lizzie’s and is very soft and a pretty brown color. Three are not sellable. The rest are nice. The only real surprises are that some of the older sheep are still producing great fleeces, and Lou’s fleece is not stained. Some of the fleeces had to be skirted more than expected and others less than expected. Once again, there is more information on our Fiber for Sale page. The last photo proves that I am skirting (that is removing undesirable wool). There are three LARGE bags of trash wool from my efforts.
