I am done for now with medieval cooking. So now I am moving on to Swedish food. I am going through the 52 Delicious Swedish Meals You Need To Try Before You Die. I printed out the dinner recipes that we might like. But I worked last night and my ran-over foot is getting worse so Tom kindly cooked two of the recipes for us for dinner tonight. I offered him the ones I thought we had the ingredients for, and he chose the Swedish Kalops and the Swedish Dill Potatoes. We only had 1.5 onions, blackberry wine and ground white pepper as substitutes for the first recipe, and garlic chives instead of dill for the potatoes. Here is the meal all cooked up which we enjoyed while watching the UW Huskies Women’s Softball Team put on an amazing performance and beat OSU in their world series.
This stew was the best we have ever had. The flavors are incredibly! The potatoes are good. We will definitely be making both again.
Thank you for posting these. We have a heap of potatoes here that I can’t bear the idea of eating roasted for the 1000th time. I’m going to make the potato dish and throw some aldi meatballs on it. You saved dinner today!
Very good to hear- have a nice dinner!
Sounds yummy !
Thanks- it was!
