Sweden Trip Day 1

Yesterday after a delayed shuttle bus to the airport and issues with my boarding pass, I got on a plane to Frankfurt Germany at 5:30 PM. My mother and cousins were on the same flight. Here is the photo out of the plane window practically going over my home.

Later on the route map I noticed that the plane was also going over near where my Swedish relatives in Sweden live/lived in northern Saskatchewan.

I was able to sleep fairly well on the plane, and we arrived at Frankfurt after the 20 hour flight. I wanted a German sausage and beer there even though it was early morning at home. I forgot to take a photo until it was mostly gone.

We then got on a flight to Stockholm Sweden. Here is my first distant views of Sweden out of the window.

Then we met my aunt and uncle in Gamla Stan and checked our our lodging there. There are amazing views of old structures out of the windows.

And here is an old stove in one of the rooms.

We had dinner on the street. I had a Swedish pear cider.

My mother and I then walked around Gamla Stan at sunset. So interesting to walk on the cobblestones and see the sights.

Now it is time to try to get some sleep. Looking forward to checking out more of Stockholm tomorrow!
