So, the pellet stove still wasn’t working after the fan was replaced.  It wouldn’t start correctly. So it was a cold night.  But Tom was able to get it working this morning, and it still is.  Everything else is the same, but the microwave died midday.  It was only about 2 years old so that is quite disappointing.  My Mom and Step-dad (HAPPY VETERANS DAY!!!!) came for a visit today which was nice but too brief.  Despite the lack of a microwave I managed to defrost a chicken and made Butterflied Chicken With Cracked Spices.  This is a recipe I have been holding on to and finally used on a small hayloft chicken.  It was really tasty.
