Last evening Ryeleigh became grumpy with having cats in her house.  It was funny.

Today, Tom replaced the roof on our back porch. The old roof was leaking.  Now we have a new metal roof which should last a long time.

We have a lot of quince developing in the orchard.

Plus a lot of pears, including Barland pears which we have never seen before.

For dinner tonight, I made ham and collard greens.  It was a nice farm meal.

For dessert there was a Plum Torte.  It was really good.

This evening there was a pretty moon and pink clouds.

This is how we are spending our late August.  I was supposed to start some fermented pickles but ran out of time.
